Bodegas San Martín – Navarra

 

A balanced and expressive red wine made from Garnacha and Syrah grapes grown in the low-lying mountains of Navarra. Aged briefly in oak, this wine showcases both varietals’ intensity and the uniqueness of its terroir.

Castillo de Ferrate

    Blend: 50% Garnacha, 50% Syrah

    Serving temperature: 16–17°C
    Aging: 3 months in French and American oak barrels

    • 15–25-year-old vines

    • Located at 450–650 meters altitude

    • Sandy limestone soils with low yields

    • Plots reflect the landscape of San Martín de Unx

    Color: Bright, intense cherry red with violet reflections; medium to full-bodied
    Aroma: Complex and expressive—red and black forest fruits, aromatic herbs, hot spices, and purple flowers
    Palate: Powerful and velvety with ripe fruit, soft sweet tannins, and well-integrated oak; structured and balanced
    Finish: Long, pleasant, and lingering, with a harmony of fruit and barrel aging
