Pago de Larrainzar – Navarra, Spain

 

An elegant and complex rosé made from estate-grown Merlot and Tempranillo. Crafted using the traditional saignée method and aged partially in oak barrels, this wine breaks away from stereotypes—refined, fresh, and designed to be enjoyed year-round.

    Vineyard: 100% estate-owned, 17 hectares

    Vinification & Aging:

    • Brief maceration with skins

    • Free-run juice obtained by bleeding (saignée)

    • Fermentation: 64% in stainless steel, 36% in French oak barrels

    • Aged for 5 months on fine lees in oak (50% new)

    • Final blend released in March 2024

    Tasting Notes
    Appearance: Pale salmon with pink hues; bright and attractive
    Aroma: Subtle and fresh, with red fruit, grapefruit, white flowers, orange blossom, fennel, toffee, and dried leaves
    Palate: Fresh, full, and balanced; high acidity adds liveliness and volume; layered with citrus, floral, and red fruit nuances
    Finish: Long and pleasant, made to be enjoyed throughout the year—even by those who don’t usually drink rosé
