Navarra Inbound Trade Mission – USA Buyers Visit 2023

Navarra welcomed six key U.S. wine importers for an unforgettable week of connection, culture, and commerce.

Mission Objective

The primary goal of the trade mission was to connect wineries from the Navarra Designation of Origin with high-potential U.S. importers and distributors, creating real business opportunities and increasing international visibility for Navarra wines. Through curated tastings, site visits, and personalized networking sessions, the initiative aimed to establish lasting commercial relationships and highlight the diversity, quality, and innovation of Navarra’s wine offerings.

Beyond business, participants immersed themselves in the rich history, cultural heritage, and unique terroir of the region, strengthening both personal and professional bonds. The experience offered a comprehensive understanding of what makes Navarra special, adding depth to the story behind every bottle.

Tangible commercial results and follow-ups:

  •  All importers expressed plans to add at least one Navarra winery to their portfolio.

  • A group shipment (grupaje) was organized to streamline distribution across multiple states.

  • Sample requests and ongoing commercial conversations were initiated immediately post-visit.

  • Wineries that stood out to buyers included: Otazu, Monjardín, Tandem, and Montecierzo

Conclusion:

This mission confirmed that Navarra is a rising star in the international wine scene, offering high quality, authenticity, and strong export potential.
